Loving the panic in this thread LOL. I'm not worried since I haven't even ordered yet.

Maybe Getrag Transmission

Could it be problems with the new 6spd manual only being to withstand 395ft lbs. of the 400 ft lbs. of 5.0 torque.

that would be an engineering issue. These are production issues.

Just think, 15 years ago this same type of hold would have happened, but none of us would know anything about it. Therefore, no huge panic or uproar. Information can be very dangerous in the masses!
Here is an old saying,"a watch pot never boils!"

Information, without the application of logical thought or reason, is always dangerous.

Information: Production has been held up for an unspecified reason while repairs are carried out.

Logical thought: Based on the fact that they are losing money and time by carrying this action out, they are more concerned with assuring that the vehicles leave the factory in as perfect a state as possible than shoving imperfect product out the door to meet demand.

Reasoned thought: Every new car has problems during manufacturing. Especially when a union is involved (but that's another topic entirely...). To expect a new product to go completely from thought and paper (and screen) to reality with no trouble whatsoever is delusional. This really is not a big deal, and Ford is acting in everybody's best interests here.

Why does everybody fixate on the fact that there is a problem with the cars, and not on the fact that Ford is fixing it?

Sad, but very much true.

A society that favors immediate mediocrity to eventual perfection deserves neither.

That's bull**** to imply it's somehow the fault of union labor.

I was in the military, as you are.

That was where I saw the the biggest group of bad attitudes ever! You know you're getting paid no matter what. Even if you're in the brig. We had an unofficial group that many belonged to. FTA. Got one like that in the Navy?
