All 2011 Mustangs on hold
G**d*** Iceland! They f*** everything up! I lost the one day off I would've had in three weeks because of Iceland, and now people aren't getting their Mustangs because of them. Who told them they could set a volcano off!? Bastards!
Of course, now that the lots are full, I'm sure that my GT that was built on the 13th is tucked against the fence and will take a month to get here.
Hopefully this is all sorted out soon and the cars start shipping.
EDIT: Holy crap, just took a look at AAI on Google Maps. Those lots are ginormous. They could fit a ton of Mustangs in there. I really hope mine is close to the end of a line so it will get shipped soon.

I never said they halted production.
I said they are holding all 2011's. That doesn't mean the line stops.

Unfortunately the plant is shutdown until next week do to a parts shortage, the parts are being delayed because of the volcanic disaster in Europe!
call this number (direct line) and have your dealer code and order number ready or your VIN.

Yes that's correct
According to others on here, the lots at AAI are full. Unless someone is suggesting that they built all these cars with missing pieces (and I doubt that they could fill the lots in the week since the volcano erupted) then the lack of parts cannot be the reason for the hold.
Stopping future production, yes. Not releasing cars already built, no.
Of course, there could have already been a hold, when the parts shortage occurred.
Finally, just a thought: since the disaster is in Europe, and the 2011 GT is being compared to the M3, perhaps.......BMW made the volcanic disaster to delay the GTs!

This makes no sense as the reason for the hold on Mustangs.

He is just updating current status on the plant.
Okay, so we know they haven't started shipping any '11's yet so this isn't newsworthy, just an FYI. Our first '11 Mustang (a V6 pony pkg coupe) was built on 4/12 and is still stuck at the plant with a current status of "produced." Waiting for a status change to "released from plant" and then a railcar #. ETA is still 4/29 (8 days from today), but I think that ETA will slip on the next update in the system later this week.
My friend's Shelby Convertible was built on the first day of production. He just talked to someone at AAI who told him it was held back for quality control purposes, but will finally be shipped this week (tomorrow, Friday, or Saturday).
His dealer told him weeks ago that they had already received and delivered a 2011 Shelby Coupe to a customer.
