Air freshener

Sooo... just curious where everyone hangs their air fresheners because I got one this weekend and sat in the car for a half an hour trying to find a good spot.

I ended up hanging it on the little lever for the directional and windshield wipers

You are silly for asking...
Get the kind that are small clips that go in your vent. No gay "trees" hanging off random interior parts. Since they are so low profile, people don't even see them and the smell is yummy when you have the HVAC on...

I drown the interior of mine in cheap cologne or Axe once a week to keep it smelling "fresh to death".

Truthfully, I just keep it clean and don't add any smells to it. I use Ozium on the carpets to keep it fresh.

unless you smoke in the car or spill milk and stuff in there I don't see the need for an air freshener at all . . . and good lord, I hope you don't do either of those things in your 'stang!

I hang the gay tree from the passenger visor by sticking the elastic beind the 'snap lock' thingy. The vent clips never seemed to last for me.

Since being in the car wash industry, I use the Victory Lane trees that have a nice fragrance to the nose. They look cool too, checkered flag style.

My car still smells new, going to ride that as long as I can! In my 95, I took a Tart Potpourri thing. I put it into a styrofoam cup I get from Dairy Queen. Like a cup of cheese or gravy comes in. Worked perfect!! Reckon I'll do the same in my '11? I went with the cookie scent. Yankee Candles one.

I do that!

ford dealers have these nice gel sheets in the parts area for like 5 bucks and they have some really great scents. The sheets also last really long(like 6-12 months).

My car still smells brand new. I'm not ruining that with some stupid air freshener.

Get one that's not a tree! I had one that was in the shape of a chinese dragon.

That is until my mom borrowed my car one day and it disappeared. Didn't have much room to argue with her borrowing it at the time, but seriously... I liked that dragon. Just because it occasionally scares the driver when he or she looks around is no reason for that.

Then she gave me a lemon colored tree that she set in a cup holder.

Seriously, what the hell, mom?

Notably this stuff hasn't happened since she got her own decent car, and obviously not since I got my GT. Non-me people don't drive that car. I just felt compelled to let her borrow the old V6 from time to time because her old vehicle was a GMC Suburban and she did help me to get the car anyway.

I take the tree all the way out of the package and toos it under the passenger side seat. Not supposed to do it that way, but I clean the car enough it doesn;t matter.

No air freshener for me. I love the smell of leather and being in Nevada I don't have any humidity to deal with so it still smells new after a year and a half.
