For those of us that didn't get Hid's on our 11' & 12's, is there a reputable after market HID distributer? That's the one option that I regret not getting in my 12'. The 13' guys are lucky to have that standard.

 

For proper HID the entire lamp assembly needs to be replaced. I suppose there might be someone on the aftermarket doing that. But that is the easiest first filter. The optics of HID are very different so just putting HID bulbs in the regular housings won't be correct and could be a safety issue.

Here comes the can of worms..

 

You can put 35 watt HIDs in the Raxiom projector headlights although just switching to the projector lamps (even with halogen bulbs) is a significant upgrade.

 

Go to eBay and search for 55w h13 bixenon. I got a kit from there in 5000k and by far there the best hid kit I've ever got. The bulbs are ac instead of dc so the arc inside the light is much more stable. My friend has a 2011 camaro with the stock hids and mine out perform his. And the high beams are insane. I can't remember the name of the lights. I just remember it came in a blue box. Make sure u get one with bixenon ( hi and low beam).
