500+ N/A from a Coyote!

Wow!

http://mustangsdaily.com/blog/2011/0...-2011-mustang/

The guys over at JPC Racing of Millersville, MD were determined to be one of the first to find out, and they fitted a 2011 Mustang with a plethora of bolt-on parts including their own long tube headers, off-road x-pipe, Stage 1 ported heads and Stage 1 N/A cams. A Bassani axle-back exhaust system, Ford Racing Boss 302R intake manifold and JLT cold air intake system were also installed, with a custom JPC Racing tune done through a DiabloSport Trinity. The result was more than 500 rwhp – 507.7 to be exact – the first for a naturally aspirated 2011+ Mustang.

Fake.

We all know the 5.0 is maxed out from the factory. Plus it sucks because it doesn't have DI.

Very nice! Just when I wanted to figure out if the GT500 could be matched in N/A form by the quick revving Coyote. Very cool!

500hp NA at the wheels is just amazing.. not to many motors out that that can do that in a V8 package, i just want to see if that setup would last 20k miles like that..

I was just upset with him because I have never once disagreed with him and that would've broken our impeccable record. Without the " " I couldn't openly assume he was kidding. Even though I knew he was. So now the problems fixed. Great story, eh?

The typical supercharger kit is in the ballpark of $6000, plus installation. Has anybody added up what these parts cost? Which is the greater bang for the buck? Of course, somebody who gets a supercharger kit may employ some of these other things, too.

Exactly, big power is great but how long will it last.

But adding power is easy. Adding power and keeping the weight off (i.e. blower weight) is completely different. If you care about bottom dollar then the blower is the way to go. I see what you are getting at.

Now imagine putting the blower on top of all that...

You are correct as to greater bang for the buck. But the point was it was accomplished as a natural breather. Many purists out there don't care about forced induction.

Quite a bit more actually... there is typically a ~15% driveline loss from the flywheel to the wheels. So 507.7 rwhp = 584 bhp - that is a 42% increase over the stock 412 rating.
