If you do the dollar to yen conversion it comes out to a cool $59,500 MSRP.
For ****s and giggles I wanted to see whan a 2011 BMW M3 ZCP goes for in Japan and it came in at $132,000.
The Mustang is still the best bang for the buck...even in Japan

Its definitely going to be a unique ride over there. Hopefully Vaughn Gitten's tour gave the stang a popularity boost there too

Instant drift classic! They may not take well to it's heft at first but the muscle will take on after a while. Probably be very cool to have one in Japan.

I think some manufacturers get around this by opening plants in the USA, like toyota's, nissans, and Hyundai's do. Then when the cars are built here they can avoid high tariffs!
The price is unacceptable, and the question is why such high tariffs on "foreign" cars when they can sell their cars here without any tariff. Fair trade my a..!

Yeah, you'd think that Japanese consumers would get sick of being raped on imports duties. If Japanese cars are so good, why can't they compete without tariffs?

Although I live in Japan, I wouldn't have a Mustang here. Not interested in an auto tranny. Ick. Ford Japan doesn't offer manuals here.
Judging from the pollution haze in that photo from chive.com, I'd guess it to be Beijing. Wrong country.

Anyways, I can't wait to go back on vaca to Japan. Such a fun country. Would be cool to rent a 5.0!

There is always a time for change. Maybe they don't offer them yet...
