The 5.0 is tempting me!
After plenty of reading and research Ive obviously come to the conclusion that the 5.0 will most likely prove to be a far greater motor then the 4.6... At least when its naturally aspirated.. With that aside I must say its more then just the engine that's got my interest. Its the 6 speed tranny, the brembos, the speedo reading 160 instead of 140. The 11 to 1 compression. The track pack most likely being standard equipment now, oh and the fact that my 2010 will lose value even faster. Now the problem is i owe about $29000 on my car im quite sure that i wont be able to get that. However i would be willing to spend a few extra bucks a month for the 2011. Now my question to all of you is ---------- Would it be worth it going through the trouble to get rid of my car lose money and increase my payment to get the 5.0 ?

If it is worth that much to you, go for it. If it is better than your '10 - to the point you can't live without it - do what makes you happy. Personally, I'd like to drive one first.
My situation is not as bad as yours. I owe far less on my '08 but I'd hate to get killed on the resale.
FWIW, I might drive my '08 a couple more years, see how the '11's turn out, let the bugs get worked out, and then think seriously about it.
But, by that time, the '08 will probably have boost so it might be a moot point.

Financially i dont have many other payments at all so its possible. Its just a pain in the ***. I spent 500 to get lowering springs installed. 1300 on wheels and tires. 250 on exhaust and it all made my 2010 beautiful and bad-*** and i love it all. And i know everyone says no no no dont trade it in with those parts. However i dont care what anyone says. It will net me some more money when i trade in the car. The dealer will be able to sell my car in a heart beat and im afraid i will have to give these parts away. And i dont feel like coming up with any sort of down payment to be honest...

825ltrgt- I do plan on driving one before i get carried away into this mess. However without driving it I'm POSITIVE, that the car with its 97 hp difference will feel a WHOLE lot more powerful due to its 11 to 1 compression and the way the transmission is geared to deliver torque and hp in each gear.
Stangfoeva- GOD FU#$#$$% DAMMIT. I thought out of all things the exhaust would fit fine and im in love with the sound of my muffler delete . On top of that id HAVE to get the brembos and my wheels wouldn't fit those either without a set of spacers. And I'm not too sure if the springs would fit either.
And while we are on the role of my failures , i dont have the stock wheels and tires either.

Whatever you don't have the stock version of keep on the car, and if you do have the stock version swap it back and either sell or place on the 5.0

As much as paced the idea of trading my '07 for a '11, money wise is just not feasble. With 2 years left on the payments and barely 30k on the clock, I spent what I would have had w/ a down payment and did some style/maintenance upgrades. (rims, meaty tires, ss lines, better brakes, shocks & struts). I'll wait it out and see what the 50th anny brings.

By the time you sell/trade your '10 and get in a new '11, it might cost that much (Tax, dest, etc on the '10 is never taken into account for a trade not counting depreciation)
I can justify $5k worth of boost on my '08 more than dumping a 3 year old car with 17K miles on it. That's just me though.
And which'll be quicker? The '08 with boost until blowers come out for the '11's. The 4.6 aftermarket is WELL established.

E mail some dealers and see what they will give you for your ride. Try to order a GT under invoice and that will save you more money. Were are you located? I would see what you can get for the '10 before making up your mind.

Since my father is in the business he has a good friend at a ford dealer which i can get invoice pricing with holdback. I would trade my car in there that way i could save paying the tax. If that wont work then im pretty much stuck with my beautiful 2010, and if that happens. Ill still be a happy camper

I'm sure too. It'll be a awesome car But is it worth about 10K to you?
