Scared me there for a while. I thought you meant the 5.0 was not revealed in LA.

I am wondering if anything about the 5.0 will really be revealed at the LA Auto Show. I say this because of the recent AutoWeek article, which says at the end "Ford plans to show the 2011 Mustang V6 this week at the Los Angeles auto show. Upgrades are also in store for the Mustang GT, which Ford plans to introduce in January at the Detroit auto show."

 

I'm reminded of my youth, waiting for Christmas Eve to come...

 

It makes sense from Ford's perspective. They've put a lot of effort into the new base model, and they might not want that immediately overshadowed by the 5.0L GT. It still stinks for us, though.

 

Cali is all about the CAFE...So Ford will show the Fiesta...which is huge for Ford...Showing a Mustang that has 305HP and delivers 30MPG is a hard on for Cali...(Hoping the GT/CS would show up). They have done a lot to this V6 Stang and will milk it for a month... Coyote will show up in Detroit just in time for the MY2011 orders to open. This will clear a coupla extra GT's of the lots before New Year.
SMS and Steeda are supposedly launching their big dogs at the show.

 

Makes a lot of sense TN. Oh well, we've waited this long, won't be hard to wait 1 more month. I still hope they say something about it at LA though...

 

That changed I thought they were releasing the data on both the powertrains at the LA show.

Agree with your reasoning, it would be better released a little later in the month. But I still hope we're wrong.

That's too long after the Job #1 date. Job #1 is 3/15 for Mustang, and the GT500 is probably a few weeks later. NYIAS is around Easter in April. I hope its not that long!!!
