5.0 Insurance ?
I am a 24yr old male from texas with a few speeding tickets in my past but haven't had a citation in almost 2 yrs. What should I expect to pay for insurance on a new 5.0.? I have a 04 v6 and have always wanted a gt. Now that I'm on the verge of buying a new mustang, I would really like that gt but I wouldn't mind settling for another 6 being that they r impressively powerful. So it basically comes down to how much I would being paying on insurance before I make my decision.

Depends on your record, location, level of coverage, and insurance company to be honest. There's a huge range that you could fall under, so you're better served calling your insurance company or going online to get a quote.

Lots of factors go into how bad the insurance company will rape you.
Under 25 like you are is bad news, tickets in the last 3 years is bad news.
If your credit isn't good then it costs more.
Where you live makes a difference.
I'm more than twice as old as you and live away from town in S.E. Texas and I just did some checking on insurance for a 2012 V6 and was quoted anywhere from $650 to $850 for a 6 month policy, so $1300 to $1700 a year. A GT would be LOTS higher than that, probably on the order of $1000 a year higher.
For someone under 25 it would be quite a bit higher than that.
My opinion is that car insurance should be based MOSTLY on you driving record but it isn't.

Most places go back 3 years for tickets using conviction date. Also having a consistent prior insurance history helps a lot. Some insurance companies consider the GT a high risk as well as most sports cars which usually puts you in a non-preferred line, unless you have more than one vehicle. Call around for some quotes, have them run your driving record so you know what you have and have them tell you specifically what dates your tickets are. If you've quoting online, be honest with your info, otherwise your giving yourself a teaser rate.

Farm Bureau Insurance
34
married
no tickets
Home owner
$500 comp/collision
$350,000.00 coverage for medical
Gap insurance
I pay $68.00 a month for my 5.0 for insurance.
Sometimes being a little older isn't a bad thing.

I went from a 2010 Nissan Maxima to a 2011 GT convertible and my rate drop for the year. It was only like $10 for the year. But hell I expected it to go up. You never know until you call.

I waited until my late 20's to get my Mustang partially because of how high the insurance rates were in my early 20's. Now, being 29, my rate only went up about 10% moving from a 2003 Mazda6 to my 2011 GT.
Shot in the dark based on your age/record - I'd guess you're in the $200-$250 a month range for normal level coverage.

Holy crap, i shouldn't be complaining with my premium costing me $450/year, and that's with a $250 deductible, new value and $2,000000 civil liability. Of course i'm not 25, but don't feel like i'm 44 either.

I'm 25, single, 1 speeding ticket (< 15 over) in 2008. I pay $104/month with Geico in Nothern Virginia. Coverage is 100/300/100, no roadside assistance, no rental coverage, no MBI. Deductibles are $500 all around. I used to own a 2010 F150, and my insurance went up about $10 a month with the 'stang. Bottom line though, call your insurance company, they're in the know.
Also, according to Geico they generally don't look at age when they determine the premium. It's mostly driving history, claims history, type of car, and coverage levels. I called and asked when I turned 25 why my rates didn't go down, and they explained that they don't look at age, and that I was already in the most prefered risk category because of my driving history, so I can't get any lower rates. Now obviously age does play a factor, because when you're young you don't have as much of a driving history, but they said there is no direct penalty for being under age X.
Sidenote: Don't skimp on coverages to save a few bucks on premium. Its a much better idea to go with the highest deductible that you can afford.
