It's from adjustments to the PCM tuning and TiVCT to make for a power curve that is more favorable to a truck and towing and hauling.

A truck with a motor that has a power peak near to 7000 rpm won't tow or haul very well so they bring the power down in the rpm range.

That's very true, trucks have to have Torque right from the get go. Look at the 88-98 C/K Chevy trucks, they claimed they might as well never claimed to have horsepower because they would consistently run lower horsepower than rated but a lot more torque, like 178Hp/353Tq at the wheels. In order to pull that trailer it is hardest to get the trailer moving.

That and the engine does have lower compression. I'm sure it runs on regular fuel instead of premium as well.

The truck has a cast crank vs forged on the Mustang. Cast iron manifolds vs the tubular exhaust on the Mustang. less aggressive cam profile. tuned for lower and broader tq range.

That 38' boat has a 13' beam.

When transported by land a tractor trailer is used along with escort vehicles.

Here is an image.
