that Camaro seems to be sitting in a dangerous spot!

and the fact that they have both cars in the same photo suggests we might be getting a comparo right off the bat . . . cool!

I think Ford had a few Camaro's on-hand for this "first drive" event. The fact that Ford isn't ducking their competition must be a good sign, IMO.

ASSumptions:

Camaro 2SS manual: 3860 lbs
Mustang GT manual wif/Brembo pack: 3650 lbs

Power to weight:

Camaro: 9.14
Mustang: 8.85

Camaro's have a launch control feature and Mustangs take skill to launch, so it will all depend on who can get out of the hole.

assuming the launch control doesn't leave the camaro's half shaft lying in the middle of the lane

lol all kidding aside, I do agree the "numbers" ar close enough so that it'll be a drivers race. Drivers being equal I give a slight edge to the stang

Yeah, I know, but the Camaro DID have input shafts busting appart...thats what I thought he was refering to.

Very true. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see some mags get better 1/4 times with the Camaro. Look at Motor Trend's GT500 times. I'd be embarressed to run those #'s and I'm a hack. I'll wait for MM&FF to get ahold of one.
