i went from 391 bone stock to 415 with only a tune and then to 431 with a Steeda CAI and a retune for that CAI

I'm pretty impressed with the ease/lack of expense that is involved in getting 400 ponies to the rear.
Look at the new BOSS... 440 hp. 455 at the crank x .88 (representing 12% loss) equals right at 400. But on the boss they have worked the heads and created a new intake as well as tuning and other things for 440..... WTF???

We'll just have to wait and see.

Power mods for me will be:
-Corsa XO-pipe & axle back (~10hp, not verified)
-Steeda CAI
-Livernois tune
I'm aiming for 435-440rwhp with that. Identical to Shaun's set up, just with a different exhaust.

Our 2011 auto makes 441 RWHP.
It really needs a set of cams to get the full power out of the current mods. There is no weight reduction other than removing the spare tire and jack and of course the wheels/tires. The car weighed 3,680 lbs.
Mods are:
Livernois Motorsports 12:1 Pistons
Livernois Motorsports Stage 1 CNC Heads
FRPP Manifold
Stainless Works Headers, Catted Mid-Pipe, and Catback
CAI
4.10 Ring & Pinion
Circle D Stall Converter
Livernois Motorsports 1-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft
Livernois Motorsports Dyno Tune
FRPP Springs & Adjustable Shocks/Struts
Drag Radials/Skinnies
This is the best ET so far. With the weather getting better now, it should be quicker.
Video of it racing a C6 Z06 (he red lit)

I don't think its coincidence that Shaun's was a factory freak lol. He's connected.
Which reminds me, I need to PM Shaun about seeing if he can get me into the Mustang focus group coming up in Irvine....

Ask him how he broke in his car...... lesson to be learned:
Break it in just like how you're going to drive it normally..... if you're gonna drive it like you stole it, then break it in that way.

The standard 5.0 is a great engine in its own right.

First and foremost I would like to thank Ralph Arning (Vehicle Program Manager) for giving a great tour, Dave Pericak (Mustang Chief Engineer) for one hell of a ride on the test track and introducing to me to my new car.
We were asked to come down to AAI to tour the plant after they tracked my Mom down for having the first public 2011 Mustang. Today was the day.
After watching a brief safety video we headed into the stamping area, while talking about the history of AAI they had pulled my car (which hadn’t shipped yet) outside of the stamping dept. We approach the door and Mr. Arning says "over here you'll find something you might recognize" and outside the door is my brand new 2011 5.0. At which point I am introduced to Mr. Pericak. He starts to go over some of the finer points of the car (which I was trying to listen to but I got kinda lost in the moment) and I want to apologize to him for the unexpected hug LOL.
At this point he asks if I would like to go for a ride on the test track. How do you say no to that?!?!?!?!?
As we get into the car they remind him that the speed limit is 25mph, to which he responds 25 eh?
any way he asks how he wants me to treat the car, to which I respond "your not going to anything I am not going to"
This car pulls to the redline with no fall off. The only thing that stops the pull is the rev limiter. Before I know it we are at speeds that are approaching double some highway limits. 40% banked corners on each end did not allow me to tell anything about the handling but the brakes work well (Brembos) when we got back to where we had left my family all four corners brakes were smoking.
