Would you put a x pipe or h pipe set up on if it were you?

From what I see and read most ppl use X-pipes because they flow better and provide, minimally, more gains than an H-pipe. I believe though that I have also read an H-pipe sounds less raspy on a v6. Anyone care to chime in?

H pipe sounds a lot better in my opinion that alone is worth having 2-3 less HP than a X pipe.

I can't find a company who makes a shorty H pipe off road or catted H pipe for a 2011 V6. Everything is all X pipe. I'm searching all over the web and nothing.

Those times sound too good. Is it possible that the track-apps is calculating your spinning wheels as though you have reached 60mph. If your spinning through 4th you must be well over 100mph, so in 2nd @60mph you must be spinning like crazy.
Just what I think.

No way man, if I have serious traction issues, i.e. it's a little wet out, i'll end up at 5.7 seconds or 5.5. Go online, even youtube, see people in v6's will hit 5 flat with the stock 2.73's, driveshaft, cai and tune.

Install them yourself. They bolt on without jacking up the engine or anything like that. I'm 59 years old, disabled and did mine with ramps and jackstands in my carport laying on gravel.........just saying

Me and my father have done everything but the gears, I just feel like if I mess something up, I'll be up doodie's creek. I do think it would be fun however, a new adventure as well.

1/4 is the only real measure. Once you see your 1/4 time, you'll know how fast you really are, and if those 0-60 times are even close to being accurate.

Have one custom made?? It's only piping and a few welds. Some exhaust shops will make you one if you pay for the materials and a bit of labor. My local exhaust shop does. The owner makes everything from custom X and H pipes to roll cages. All you need is a bit of know-how, a pipe bender, a welder and a good saw. I've never done one but it can't be that hard. Guy down the road from me makes custom headers in his garage for his Rat-Rods.

They're cheaper too

I still say have an H-pipe made. That'd be the cheapest route and the easiest to get the size you want.
