I'll assume by now you have the old one off, and the new one on. I too installed the 3D GT500 on my 2011. Yes, the old spoiler was a bit of a pain to remove, but by using body filler type plastic applicators, I was able to break loose the two sided industrial strength tape used to hold that factory spoiler on.

Gotta give folks more than 4 hours to respond. Hopefully this post will be forgotten for you, as you may not have won many friends on the site.

Use fishing line, and a lot of patience

I wish you could Bill. The four bolts stop you from cutting all the way through. Hence the plastic paddle or spatula.

The spatula really is the way to go after you free up both sides with the fishing line. Using a blade is dare devilish. (Or insert other word here) You can get by without it.

Did this on my '09 with a heat gun and fishing line and a lot of upward lifting....can't wait to do it again with the not so grip friendly '13 stock spoiler....heat gun is the key though

I know I was a little wound up and impatient. What I did was this. I left my car sitting out in the sun on sunday morning while we went out for breakfast and to wally mart, 4 hours later when we got home, the Florida heat had worked wonders, factory spoiler came right off as did the adhesive. Then I got my new spoiler on and everything bolted up and found a **** dent in it, 3D is replacing it for me....

Let me guess. The dent is closer to the tips of the spoiler than the center. 3D has all types of waves in the material. Not the best quality material..(urethane) wait until the sun hits it again. They warp all over the place giving the illusion of dips and dents in the material.

OEM all that way. Respectfully.

Not mine....it has been on the car now for 7 months, and no warpage at all. And currently, it's "Africa Hot" in Florida.

I had the 3D Carbon and it was problem free but in the end I wanted a more OEM look so I just bought a Ford OEM GT500 spoiler.
