35k boss or 30k GT-P ??
I sold my 2011 gt- premium last month and have come full circle back to the mustang. I drove an Evo X and tried to like it, but can't.
I found a 2012 Boss with 15k miles for $35k but am hesitant thinking it has been beat-on by the previous owner.
I was about to do it when I found a brembo 2013 GT premium with 6k miles for 30k and now I am stuck. I can get a boss LS suspension for under 800$ from a buddy.
In your eyes, Is the boss worth the extra $4000? :/

You can get all the parts to make a boss but it wont be the same as coming off the assembly line as a Boss. Tbh though id take the GT-P because id DD it and id want all the creature comforts and accessories i could have. Thats just me though
Boss has a ton of suspension differences that were designed to work together but you could pick & choose the parts you want on a GT. For $4k though Id say Boss unless it's a DD, in which case, Id get the GT & put the $ towards mods b/c you dont wanna waste DD miles on a Boss.

Does the GT-P have 18 or 19" wheels? Brembo brakes or not? The handling you will get from the Boss is much tighter than a standard GT on 18's, I can tell the big difference between my wife's '11 GT and my '13 Boss.
If you think the GT and Boss motors are the same, I respectfully disagree. The forged internals, and massaged cylinder heads are just the beginning of what you get with the Boss motor.
Check and see if the Boss is still riding on the original OEM Pirelli tires, and check the tread depth on the rears if it does. The 15k miles may represent mostly highway miles. You can also have a look at the 'Trip B' odometer readings and look at the miles and avg MPG. If the orig owner never reset it, or hardly ever used it, you can figure out if the guy was redlining it every shift, driving it moderately, or babying it on the highway. MPG readings in the single digits over many thousands of miles? Lots of high RPM shifting - not necessarily a bad thing - the motor was designed to take it. MPG in the mid to low teens - normal Boss driving. MPG in the high teens - mostly highway driving. I know this because at least 70% of my 8k miles were highway and my overall MPG since new is around 19.
Does the Boss have any mods on it, or bone stock? Take it for a test drive and see if you think the 4k extra is worth it (esp if you spread that amount over the life a loan).

My bad, was just having this discussion too and corrected someone on the subject, was thinking it was only GT500 with forged internals for a sec there, hate giving bad info. It's not a whole different engine though.

"beat on"? Ha! This engine went thru "accelerated wear testing, the equivalent of 275 Grand Am or 150 Daytona 500 races, without a failure." - Undercover Boss, 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords, August 2011.
I think you'll be okay

It's the same engine, different IM.

I guess we have different definitions of, "not even close". I said internals should have been mentioned; it was a quick response to "different engine". (I think we also differed on the def of different engine, lol.) All I meant was its not a whole different engine, like the 5.8 or something you cant steal from. I was not putting the Boss down in any way.

I would go BOSS even if it is your daily. Why buy a car not to enjoy it as much as you can. Like was said before...it can take it. It really comes down to the drive. I love my 13 TP GT but if I had the chance...BOSS all day even as my daily but that's just me. I don't in any way see miles being a "waste" when you are driving an icon around for your own personal enjoyment. It's not like you are buying it just to look at it with 20 miles on the OD in your garage and trailer it to shows as what I personally would consider a not so smart investment. Who really has that kind of loot anyway? You only live once brother. Make it count.
Depending on the options I would personally go for the GT. I love the BOSS and think they're awesome cars. I just love creature comforts and the cheaper price of the GT.
PS-I'm not a fan of the stock 2013 GT grill either, but the GT/CS or GT500 fascias make it work!
