3.31 rear ratio

You can get it, just not new from factory !
Besides, while the new V6 performs well, if you truly want high performance the obvious option is the V8 which can be fitted with 3.31, 3.55 or to 3.73.
I see V6 as the economy (price and gas mileage) alternative.
Offering higher gear options for the V6 defies that purpose imho.

The new V-6 is a screamer in its own right, plus adding a CAI kit and a custom Tune really opens it up. The 5.0 is an awesome enigne no doubt but for many the $5K premium is just not worth it.
Your point about the V-6 may have valid a couple of years ago but since the introduction of the 3.7 in 2011 it no longer applies.

Unfortunately you are seeing wrong...

Without knowing trans ratios, I'd guess that the v-6 gearing is geared like it us due to the trans ratios. The final drive ratio is only a part of the equation.

5K for an extra 100HP natural aspirated power start point is a no-brainer.
Your statements are not surprising coming from a V6 owner !

What do you mean? I think all V6 verts come with 3.31 gears in canada
Probably cheaper and easier to switch an American vert after you buy it than pay Canadian prices and import one even considering the loss of warranty on the diff.

Your statements are not surprising either, coming from someone who brags about his V8 performance car and equipped it with an AUTOMATIC transmission...
