I think maybe you're just shining us on.

What dealer is going to discount a new Mustang Track-Pack that much?

Heck, you could buy it and turn around the next day and re-sell it for a profit.

You sure someone didn't put a decimal point in the wrong place when they were figuring it up?

Makes me wish I'd waited till now and just settled for the 2010 engine. It's still more than 300 HP. Would have sounded great back in the 80s when I used to salivate over a 225-HP Mustang GT.

A lot of the time it doesn't do you any good on a used car.
Even on, "new" cars... people can crash and/or the car gets some sort of body damange. Case and point: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...3D28705&aff=cj
It can happen if the car has only 100 miles on it, or 100,000. So for me, a carfax is still worth seeing. It's not like the 30seconds the dealer has to pull it up is difficult...

The only reason I suspect that is because the price seems way out of wack. Even for a 2010, and with all those options it sounds far fetched. I'm thinking it's that- or the price listed online was meant for another car and the person that loaded it on, confused the GT for a v6 and just didn't do it properly.

But who knows maybe it truly is a 2010 well optioned GT going for 22k out the door.

The cheapest on cars.com listed is this one at just under 26.

I'd like to know how the dealer is knocking $12K off sticker .... Ford definitely is not reimbursing him ... that's for sure.

Has the dealer verified it hasn't suffered lot damage and been repaired. Not long ago there was a thread about a car that had like $10K worth of lot damage (not sure how) .. and they were selling it super cheap after their body shop repaired it ...

Carfax is only as good as the reporting to it, if the problems or damage is not documented then carfax won't show it. A steamroller could have rolled over it and if the dealer or individual fixes it on the sly then there will be no carfax report on it.

I was the one who posted the severly damaged car that was repaired and then put up on ebay for a seemingly low price. The car was damaged by a 18 wheeler tire that came off the truck as it rolled down the freeway in front of the dealership. The tire and wheel hit the car and crunched it, but they told you up front what happened and that the dealership body shop repaired it.

To echo everyone else, yes that is a good deal. It is about $3500 lower than what I have found.
I would buy it, hell you should have done it before you posted!
Best of luck....if it doesn't work out, well...what, am I third in line here?
Seriously, not just internet talk, if it really is that price, I would pay that price for the car (my fear is that something is wrong for it to be true).

Let me know if you back out!

Good luck!

This probably deserves a separate thread, but on the topic of selling wrecked Mustangs as new...

I've had my eye on this one for weeks, waiting for the local dealer to slash the price. Pulled through the lot last week, and had my heart broken. From the back, it just looked like the car was parked, but as I got closer the damage was obvious. Guess i'll finally get the discount I was looking for.

There are a number of 2010 TrackPack cars still out there.

I found another one that I would sure like to have, 400A, Kona Blue, Stone, only option on it is the TrackPack.

Be careful. Someone sold us a new car that had been in an accident and water ended up leaking into poorly fixed areas, flooded the trunk area, started growing mold. dealership were douchebags about it and wouldn't help us out. had to hire a lawyer but dropped the case because we had a baby on the way. traded it in and had to roll $4k in negative equity into the new car.

Its not too hard to find great deals on older inventory. Even if that car ends up at 25kotd, its still an awesome deal.

The more i think about the price the more i think something is wrong. This is either a ploy to get people into the dealership, then tell the people "we sold that car last week but we have anotherone just a few thousands dollars more". Or, its been hurt........

Yeah, not sure how that happened, if they were related or not.

Might be gone no response from dealer. I am sure another 2010 will pop up for a good price.

Or it was just a ghost after all...

You know what they say about things that sound too good to be true.
