Wondering if 2015 linkage fits on 2011 to 2014 transmission.

 

Already have mine apart, I will try to swap the linkage from my 2015 to my 2012. I will post pics and videos to show my findings.

 

Nobody will know anything like that at least until more details on the '15 are out.

And as of now it's not known if the '15 will have any different setup than the current model.

 

2015 doesn't even exist yet.

MGW... nuff said.

 

My guess is Ford probably didn't change anything internally in the transmission but it's fairly easy to improve the linkage by just putting better support blocks in there. I'd just put a MGW kit in and you'll be happy - it makes a big improvement.

Thanks, I am doing shifter bushing and while line mount early next week, I will get a mgw soon if I am not happy

 

To bad you didn't post this a few weeks ago, I would have let you drive my 5.0 with a MGW shifter and Whiteline tranny insert....

 

Chief Mustang guy, Dave Pericak, already stated that there have been internal changes to the MT82 to handle the power increase on the 2015 5.0 motor.

But, that would have nothing to do with the shifter.

 

Interesting - I haven't messed with my engine yet but with all the easy power upgrades , has there been know problems with the MT82? I'm replacing the suspension with a FR adjustable setup.

How do you like that whiteline insert? Is the vibration too much or ok? Did you cut out hole in middle piece? I heard that can reduce vib. I got to do this and clutch line too.

I love the way it feels, I can feel the rumble of my 302 in the floor, shifter, and even seat belts after I installed the whiteline insert. That alone is worth the price, let alone the increased shift precision.

 

Have you tried to cut the middle part or drill a circle ?, some people did that to eliminate NVH.I have the busing with me I will install some time next week.

 

I don't want to cut the middle part out, I actually like the NVH it added to my car. Makes it feel even more like a race car.

 

I wonder if that linkage can be retro-fitted to the previous models. ???

 

Switching to the MGW would be far easier and you could do now, rather than waiting a year for 2015 parts to become available.
