2014 track pack tires

I'm really impressed with how good these Pirellis grip even in first gear and full throttle they squeal but I not all over the road and the torsen diff has a lot to do with that as well and body else have similar results

Are you sure you're in 1st? ...just kidding . My '14 track pack is all over the place at, um, full ahead (couldn't resist) through 1st and 2nd and that's with everything on.

Same tires as Brembo cars like mine.

They are very sticky but pretty easy to overpower depending on road surface, and boy they sure are noisy!

New exhaust takes care of hearing the tires as much though!

Enjoy it while it lasts because they won't last long. Had to replace mine at 15k miles. And the last 2-3k miles I had no traction.

I was referring to road noise though not squeal.

Did you rotate them or just keep them at the same position the whole time?

I had my oil changed early and yes the did a rotation I have have 2200 miles it not like there an hp problem lol just the sticky tires and torsen diff do a good job. My old man has an 2010 track pack and that car has no traction and it has 10000 miles on the original Pirellis.

Ps and the exhaust covers a lot of road noise thats fine with me

I'm not impressed with the tires overall. There are better tires for the same or less money out there. I have 10K miles on mine now and on pretty much any road surface I can be in a curve and hit the GO pedal and kick the rear out if I want. Although fun, not optimal when you aren't trying to, especially in the rain.

Best tire I've found for driving in rain is, the Sumitomo HTRZ II. (I ran 275/40ZR-18s on my "07 GT.) On an interstate, at the speed limit or above, they shed water like no other tires I've ever owned. They produce an absolute water fog behind the car and stay planted to the road for exceptional wet surface traction. They aren't susceptible to hydroplaning either. They also don't easily break loose on dry pavement. I also liked the flange guard sidewalls that protects wheels from curb rash.

From: CenTex...sort of
From what I've heard, the Pirelli's are not exactly popular.

Every 5k miles. Didn't matter. And it's not like I do burnouts all the time either. I think they put these tires on just to make good numbers for the car magazines.

At least Ford doesn't do what BMW does on "spare tire delete" cars... My Z4 came with run-flats, and those things are just horrible (tram-lining, loud, poor handling, etc.).

I'll wear out the Pirellis on mine and then get a set of Continenal ExtremeContact DWS.

Pete, Switch out for a set of BFG All-Terrain TA's. I hear you go 4-wheelin' occasionally.

I had BFG G-Force Sports on the Z4 when I got flats in the two rears and they were 1000 times better than the run flats. The run flats were the worst tire idea ever on a performance car. I bought the two rears for less than the cost of one replacement run flat and the BFG tires were the same size and the tread width was noticeably wider than the stock Michelins. I had Kumho 4X's on the Benz and they were really sticky for all seasons. They had a AA A rating and were around $200 per tire. I my end up getting them on the Mustang unless I decide to get some Blizzaks for the Brembo wheels and then get a set of wheels and tires for the summer.
