I just stopped into my dealership, just to see if by chance it showed up today. No luck.

I did however tell them not to wait to do the underside coating. Straight off the truck to that, they wanted me to come take a look at it first. I said if I come take a look at it, it's leaving with me.

 

I just realized my 5.0 coupe does not have the brace between the strut towers above the engine. Is it missing or do only the convertibles have this for rigidity?

 

i doubt it would be missing. its probably offered with some package or the premium? i dunno. i know that the v6 model offers it with the performance package otherwise, the v6 doesn't have it either.

 

It comes with all convertibles and cars with 19" wheels.

 

Ok mine is a GT Premium with base wheels. **** I like that brace!

 

That sucks. There's nothing worse than waiting forever for a highly anticipated new "toy" to find out you're just a little disappointed. I should snippy this screenshot and show it to my sales guy so that he finally understands why I hummed and hawed for a week with him and went back and forth with options with my car, to make sure it was 110% exactly how it should be! send pictures

 

OMG the site to track is hilarious. I said yesterday Firefox was showing in transit but IE was showing still awaiting shipment. Now Firefox is showing awaiting shipment and IE is stating in transit. LOL

 

Sucks but imagine getting leather seats that are not the color you expected.

You can pick up one of the GT braces for $100 or less used, or get one of the beefier aftermarket ones.

Again, it's been this way since 2009. Not sure how people stumble upon this site and don't do the research before placing a $35,000+ order for something without knowing exactly what you're getting. Maybe it's because I've almost bought one of these cars 3 times, or I spend wayyyy too much time on here, but I know the order guides like the back of my hand, and when I placed my order I knew *exactly* what options, colors and packages I was going to get.

Either way, this is an easy and inexpensive fix. Just look at it as one less thing you have to remove for your supercharger install

OK I am confused, Why Undercoating? Most car companies in the owners manual tell you not to get undercoating and that is there is any rust related issues there is no warranty? All of My GM vehicles say that?

 

I found if I clear all my Cache in Each browser I can get to the sight and it works. It is a really crazy Sight... But it is all we have Other than the Great one Deysha Knows all See's All Thank you

 

That did it. Both browsers are showing the same now. My ETA is now 5/27 which is awesome if true. It might not even be in transit yet like Deysha pointed out yesterday. Sure does look nice either way.

 

Now it's showing 42 days left again. I need to stop looking at it. LOL!

 

Yes indeed! In fact I did find a nice stock brace on Ebay that is on order already. I actually like the way the stock GT ones look better and am sure it is beefy enough.

Also, like you, I thought I did enough research by looking on Ford website. Maybe somewhere it is buried that it only comes on convertibles or with bigger wheels but I didn't pick that up. I saw a picture with the brace on their website and there was no footnote to tell me this and it was on all the cars I looked at at the dealer.

But oh well, $98.50 shipped is a good deal to me so it will be on by next week! Will put pics up soon.
