2014 Mustang GT will not start

I have a 2014 Mustang GT with a manual transmission. I turn the key over and nothing happens, no cranking, no dash lights, only flasher lights will come on. No radio, power windows, etc. It happened to my wife 1st, then happened to me, tried it several times, then waited and it finally started. Has anyone else had this problem?

Bad battery or check your connections at the battery. If that's tight check connections going to the fuse box and ground from the battery if it goes to the firewall or frame close by

make sure you are really pushing the clutch all the way to the floor.

Or some weird securilock issue which I am now experiencing. Maybe that needs to be checked too. Mine seems to have immobilised itself, both keys (main and secondary) don't work.

I have checked the battery connections and they are tight, also battery is good. The clutch is all the way to the floor when trying to start. I waited a couple hours and tried it again and the dash lights came on, the chime was on and it started right up.
Thanks for the replies, any other suggestions ?

Sure sounds like some thing funky with the clutch. Was the steering wheel straight ahead with no load on the rack/steering wheel? That can also prevent a normal startup.

Re-read the original post, guys- he has only flashers, no electrical accessories. This indicates that it has no relation to the clutch switch.

Bad news- it sounds like you have a short somewhere and the fact that the car starts "eventually" does not rule out this hypothesis.

Good news- this will absolutely be covered by your warranty.

EDIT: Just a thought but has there been any evidence of rodent activity around the car?

Hello featurecar50,

Have you addressed this with your dealer yet? I recommend you do and let me escalate it to the customer service manager for your area. Please PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number.

Hi pauljohnpena,

Welcome to the forum! My name is Deysha with Ford Service and from your other posts, I see your dealer is coming out to check on your vehicle. Please keep me posted on their findings.
