Vehicle Dynamics Instructor?
Do you work for one of the big three in Michigan?

Funny! I can still hear my instructor who was a pro road racer coaching me too.

Your videos using Harry's Laptimer are awesome.

Will you please share your hardware and software setup?

Thanks,

OK some comparison photos finally (shamelessly pulled with watermarks...)

These are in response to the questions about roll of my car vs the "grey Mustang" which had sway bars. Both cars are lowered, mine has STR.T shocks/struts, the Grey Mustang has Koni Yellows. Comparable springs.

The first pair your car is much flatter. Looks like you rotated a bit on exit while the Grey GT looks to be understeering.
The first pair I can clearly see the grey GT has a lot more steering angle.

The rest look pretty darn similar.

This may be of interest too... some video footage captured from a GT500 that chased and eventually passed me...

Not far off, I agree. I think I was leaning less overall looking through all the other pictures taken that day, which I still find interesting seeing as I'm on OEM sways...

Still impressed regardless with the handling though.

What I meant is that I think your skills outweigh any suspension or tire differences.

Thanks again for sharing!

Missed this post....

Assuming you mean hardware/software in regards to video capturing... I simply have my iphone 4S with the latest version of Harry's Lap Timer Pro - Grand Prix edition which is mounted to my windshield with a simple suction cup mount I bought off Amazon. Additionally, I use the Gopoint BT1 bluetooth OBDII reader which auto-syncs up with Harry's.

Video is captured with the iphone camera, although there is the option of using a GoPro as primary and/or secondary (multi-cam). I do the data overlay on the videos right on the iphone then just a quick transfer to my computer. Super simple and extremely effective. It can capture full HD, although I usually stick iwth 720p to save disk space on the phone.

I have yet to be disappointed with the setup.

Yes sir, very close! That's basically my story of getting into motorsports
Got lots of training for work, and decided I want to do it with my own car. Is that similar to how you get into the sport as well?

Thanks that is exactly what I was after.
I have the iPhone 5, BT OBDII, and GoPro all I need is Harry's GP.

Thanks

That's great!
I'm an engineer as well, and I've gotten to work on vehicle dynamics software at both MPG and CPG. I know what you mean! Neutral speed at that circle track is what... ~120mph?

Actually till this day my land speed record is 184mph on a straightaway at one of those.

Opps I was late editing my post. (Too many details).

But yes many great experiences.
Not only the on road testing.

I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to be a part of vehicle development from clay to production.

Video is captured with the iPhone integrated camera. The application supports an external gopro camera as well
