2014 GT TP dyno this morning

Had the car on dyno for a baseline today. Car is stock in terms of power mods. Only things I have done are braking related and gt500 mufflers

376 whp, 349 wtq

I'm pleased. I think I broke the car in nicely

I will be shifting at redline for sure though going forward. Engine wants to rev higher. I am pleased power increases right to stock redline. I had been short shifting at 6400 or so thinkin power would drop off a bit

Yeah, the coyote is just screaming as hard and fast as it can as it comes up to redline, definitely could use 3-400 more revs to be at its best.

That's really the only thing I would like to have a tuner for, to increase the rev limit. I think having it set to about 7200 so I could go all the way to 7000 on the shift would knock a good bit of time off my ET.

That's really push your motor hard. How long are you expecting your motor to last at that RPM? Anyone else with experience on a stock Coyote at those RPMs?

At 7200 you mean? I think almost all tunes increase the rev limit to that or higher. I won't tune mine for years (warranty...) but I have not seen any threads about blown engines from revving to 7200 regularly

It's not like your spending much time up at that rpm.

Yeah I've heard of several people extending the limiter to 7600 even.
BTW great numbers.

Wow, I wasn't aware of folks going that high on a stock Coyote...it's built well.

Yes, seems to be a very well engineered (over-engineered) engine overall.

I've heard of 7600 on a Coyote, well over 8000 on a RoadRunner.

Is that with the "ACME" tune?

What is the rev limit on the stock Coyote? I'm guessing 6800 or so, but does anyone know for sure?

Nice work! Do you think the GT500 add a couple hp/tq due to lower back pressure? I'm considering the same exhaust for my 2014 GT TP. I guess my numbers should look nearly identical.

The roadrunner has had 8800rpm stints during road race conditions from when they started testing them. 8500rpm fuel cuttoff is standard on them for the race track.....

Doubt the mufflers do anything, but they dont hurt! Going to a dyno anytime soon? And yeah I bet your numbers would be nearly identical

Not anytime soon, but I'm saving up for new axle backs and I'd love to put in K&N CAI. They advertise nearly 20hp and 20tq with no tune. I'd love to do dyno run after those 2 mods to see if I get anywhere close to those gains.

Do you find the GT500 axlebacks louder than stock at high rpms? My only complaint with stock exhaust is that as I approach the redline I can't hear the engine scream, and I think I should. I like to shift based on the sound, so not being able to hear the exhaust at 6k rpm is not ideal.
