Hell I just re-read my post and I don't know what I'm talking about . Ford had both the Crown Vic and Mustang for years (even the T-Bird) and I doubt Ford would ever postion the Mustang any further upscale because the Mustang "is what it is" because it is affordable.

I do believe if Ford (a BIG IF) introduced a RWD sedan to their lineup it will most likely be a Lincoln. Lincoln doesn't have anything to really compete with Cadillac, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, etc....when it comes to a sporty, drivers, car.

Agreed. This is prime time for Lincoln to come back. Venture into the luxury sports car division. Cadillac went from boulevard cruiser to German-rival. Why cant Lincoln do the same?

April Fools joke or not. I'm totally on board with a rear wheel drive sport sedan from Ford, but please don't bastardize the beloved two-door Mustang Coupe/Vert.

Think about it. 4 door somethin to taclle the Charger and m3 sedan, mustang to hit all the pony cars, an the legendary GT to tackle the supercars. Family, muscle, supercar. Itd be sweet watching Ford take the ultimate crown

It looks like a charger. I hate it. If I wanted a 4dr sports car, I would buy an SRT8.

Because Lincoln is whimp and they refuse to build cars people want, not a bunch of force fed Lexus/Audi wannabees!

So youd rather it be more like an RX-8 and a mini cooper clubman? Id rather have a Charger look-alike

It would take a lot more than suicide half-doors to make a mustang look like a mini.

Being a life long Jeep owner I felt the same way back in 07 when they introduced the Wrangler Unlimited 4 door. I thought the image would change, now that tones of "soccer moms" and others would buy it yet never take it off road.
You know what who cares, I've had six wranglers all 2 door models and enjoy the Jeep and lifestyle and soon to be a new 2013 Mustang owner.
If Ford builds it, sells it and it helps keep the Mustang brand as strong as ever do it!! If you don't like it don't buy it!

It looks like a Mustang to me. Not sure what the big fuss is if it was an option.
