Hi, Found this place after searching for info on the '13 V6. I think its an awesome car. I currently i have an 03 cobra that puts down a bit over 500HP to the wheels. I love it but im currently selling it so i can buy a '13 V6 with the performance pack. Unlike what the other guy said, its not always about v8s.

Then why are you reading a thread that is very specific to V6 Mustangs?

It's quite all right that you don't like V6's, but why come into a V6 thread and stir up trouble?

Anyone had seen black rims on 2013 performance package V6? Until now, I saw the black rim on the 2013 GT Premium and the grey ones on the PP V6.

My window sticker only says Painted 19" alu rims, not mention of the color. I have ordered a sterling gray car and I tough the rims would be black... I don't knowif I am gonna like it with gray on gray...

Any thoughts?

The '13 pp rims are black not grey.

These are the '13 PP rims. They look pretty black to me. I'm not saying they are the blackest rims I've ever seen but closer to black than grey for sure.

Can't tell if you're jesting or if your monitor needs adjusting. Those are grey wheels, man.

They look grey if you compare to the black tire in the same image... Anyway, I just got a call from dealer saying I will have my car on friday, so I will post pix to solve the mystery.

Regardless, I hope it's the color you prefer.

I prefer the 12' performance package wheels over the new 13's but all in all a nice update. Its really cool you can get the recaros in a base performance.

And as for the never buy a v6 comment, thats just bs. I work close with mustang at ford and i bought a v6 pp last summer mostly because im 24 and couldnt afford the insurance. I get to take out the 5.0's from time to time and they are seriously fast cars, but the v6 is a bit more tame and rounded. When i take coworkers to lunch they are always shocked at how quick it is, and are jealous that im able to get 30 on the freeway.
Anyway 300 hp aint a joke and is enough to get into trouble. Maybe its not a monster like the v8 but its really quick and an awesome all around daily.

I prefer the 12 pp wheels as well. The 13 pp wheels are called "foundry black"..strange name for a grey wheel

I was VERY close to ordering a '13 MCA-PP V6. Then I found a 5.0 that was 95% what I wanted to order if I went the V8 route again and so I picked it up.

Overall, though, there's NOTHING wrong with the new V6 Mustangs.

You're right...there's nothing wrong with the new V6's...they're pretty awesome actuakky...but line them up against the 5.0 and not so much...that's what I think a lot of people see it as..they can't just look at the V6 as the gnarly machine it is they have to compare it to the 5.0....apples to oranges man..

Yup, and by the same token, The Mustang GT doesn't look so hot when compared to the Shelby GT500. It all depends on how one answers the question, "How fast is fast enough?" For a lot of people, 0-60 in 6 seconds or so is quite satisfactory.

And why are 3.31's part of the performance package? It needs 3.73's, not a higher gear. I hated my 3.31's on my 07 GT.

3.31's still are not a performance gear ratio unless you have a turbo. So like I said before, it would be better suited with 3.73's. It'd also benefit from 2 more pistons.

Dude, I don't think Danzy is gonna make you drive this car. It's his, it's what he wants, and that's should be good enough for us. Lighten up Bro.

I think the new 3.7 V6 is a great engine. Enough power to have fun with and great economy for a daily commuter car. I am thinking of upgrading from my 06 Vert to a 13 Vert with a V6.
Does anyone know if you can get the Performance Pkg and/or the Recaro's in a Convertible?

Thanks.

You cannot get the PP with convertible. Not sure on recaros.
