if you're getting a v6 then the Per Pkg is definitely the way to go..
only way to get the 3.31's now
edit: as of 3/19 the 3.31 is a stand alone option again

I ordered my 2012 the same way, only option was the PP. Love it...can't wait to drive it again. No, it is not nearly as quick as the V8, but believe me it will surprise you, I was amazed how quick it was. Anyhting that can run in the 13's will beat 85% or more of the cars on the road, plus when driven in a not so aggressive manner will return much better gas mileage....plus mine was more than $7,000 cheaper than an equivalent V8 and insurance is a lot cheaper. Yes, if you can afford it go for the V8 but the V6 is a great car.

only the performance package comes w/ 3.31 now

No worries - easily remedied in the aftermarket. Plus you then have the big advantage of not being limited to only the 3.31 choice. Many of the V6 crowd has installed 3.73's and are very happy!

The wheels are different??? Awesome! I ordered a 2013 with performance package, sterling gray. Do you have any more pics or a source for more pictures of the new performance package cars?
EDIT:
So I did some snooping and found this:

Are you for sure these are the performance package wheels? The tires show as being F1's and not the pirellis

Just got back from a local dealer test drove a 12 V6 PP. Very nice indeed. Sat down and talked with the dealership manager showed his copy of the 2013 Mustang Order Guide and it did have a black and white photo of the 2013 Performance Package wheel. Its the same as the one in this thread but black not shadow grey.

Perfomance Package delivers the best perfomance numbers all around, definitely the way to go if you care about that.
But I don`t know, it is a Mustang after all, why wouldn`t ya?
