2013 Shelby GT500 Convertible is official!
Mustang cobra or SVT cobra sounds great to me. And yes, the cobra means the good motor.
I think I remember those wheels on a corvette. Although they look better than the Shelby wheels from the last few years.

My main point was mixing a horse and snake together makes no logical sense for a name.

The Cobra meaning is simply the top end performing Mustang and for most of it's history used a slightly beefed up GT engine. I realize SVT has marketed these cars since 1993. SVT Cobra makes a lot more sense than Mustang Cobra.

Yeah. My car came factory with a horse in the grille opening and snakes on the sides. Not cool. Wish the passenger side dash didn't say mustang either but I thing that's the only place it says it. Since 93, the cobra was the only way you could get the good motor. I would love to just order a GT with a charged 5.4 or now a 5.8. In the 60's and 70's, I believe you could special order you engine combination.

IMO the back on these are gaudy/too much going on.
Massive stripes (that stop on the spoiler?), "SHELBY"..., quads, spoiler, black out panel, horizontal license plate plastic, vertical diffuser, faux cap, antenna, reflectors.
Meanwhile the front is missing a grille...

I'm sorry guys, maybe I'm the only one here that feels this way, but the more and more I see pics of 2013's, the more I think they overdid the design, especially with that horrible rear license plate surround. And the fronts of the fascia... what is up with the vertical trim pieces in that gaping hole? Almost looks like it needs a honeycomb or something...
IMO, the 2012 Shelbies looked great..... the 2013, I'm not feeling it.
