Is there any way to turn the sub on or off? I noticed that while I have lots of bass, none really comes through the back. Popped the trunk after work, and verified that the trunk sub is doing nothing and I've found zero indication of an internal radio menu to turn the sub on or off like the old shaker 1000s supposedly did.
Please help!

To add to this... When you set your fader to the rear do you actually get bass?
On my car to get a balanced sound stage where the rear speakers can be heard equally with the front, I have the fader set three notches towards the rear. Is this the same for anyone else?
When I sit in the car, keep in mind there is an abundance of bass, from the doors though. No sound seems to come from the back.

Did you check the fuse for the trunk sub-woofer?

Check the electrical connections in the trunk. Maybe someone didn't hook it up or it came loose.

I don't know about your situation, but your use and understanding of what a "soundstage" is, is incorrect. The term soundstage is referencing your ears' ability to discern where each instrument in your music is coming from, on your dash. Music comes from in front of you! Fading your speakers to the rear, is ruining your "soundstage." Not that the Mustang has any adjustments for time alignment stock, but that's neither here nor there. You'd need an external processor to correct for time alignment.
I agree with Patrick. Rear speakers are just used for rear fill, to raise the front soundstage. Its exactly that as if you are at a show. If the rear speakers start pulling you to the rear then you know its too much. A good place to start is to fade everything to the front then slowly start fading to the rear where you hear your soundstage start raising to the windshield. Subs are non directional so you shouldn't be able to tell where its coming from. Something is definitely wrong though if its not coming on. EQ the mids and trebles off to see if the sub is not playing...

Try this to verify the sub is not working.
Operate the audio system in radio tuner (AM/FM) mode.
Press and hold preset buttons 3 and 6 for 3 seconds until the speaker walk test begins.
The display indicates each speaker as it is tested.
Check the following fuse. Someone already mentioned fuse 20, fuse 33 is also for the DSP Amp.
