2013 Mustang Order Guides (including GT500) & Price Lists
did you guys upgrade from stock gearing or ordered the 3.73 from the factory?
im wondering what the 6th gear RPM is at 80mph with the stock gearing compared to the 3.73 gearing in 6th gear going 80mph. i guess that would be my decision point, if its only 500 RPM difference then its worth it.
i might be ordering the car this week and trying to make a final decision

3.31's @ 65mph in 6th = 1725 rpms
3.55's @ 65mph in 6th = 1850 rpms
3.73's @ 65mph in 6th = 1950 rpms
Top speed in 4th gear @6800 rpms:
3.31's = 126mph
3.55's = 117mph
3.73's = 112mph

Per this post (not 80, but something to work from):

On another note, test drove a 2012 GT500 yesterday. It was amazing and the exhaust is louder than I thought. The dealer was encouraging me to "get on it" to which I happily obliged. That thing flies, it will break traction in a heartbeat! The 13 is going to be scary fast.

Hahaha. est drove a shelby sunday. Dealer said guides should be out this week. Of course it's speculation but it falls in line with what Jeff was saying, the prices will be out after they introduce the vert at Chicago. So i think it's going to be out soon!

If this is accurate, and the ship them like they did for the 2011 model year (the 1st year of the changeover to the aluminum block), then the cars will not reach the dealers lots until August maybe. I say this as I had a customer's GT500 (a member on here, WarpedSpazm) ordered and built in April, but the car didn't arrive until 7/1 and he took it home 7/2!! The cars sat for quality control and moved from Ramp 51 to other lots while they checked every car. The delay was very long!!!

Lets hope my timeline is accurate. I heard of a tentative Job#1 date of 5/17 today on my dealer chat forums!!

I hope that is not true either.... have been resisting the temptation to order because I want to see the colors/options in person before deciding but was hoping to get mine before summer (and the higher gas prices) arrive.

most of the colors, except for deep impact blue and GHIG are available now as well.
I think the updated customizer would be good enough to let me see everything together but that has yet to get released.
