2013 Mustang GT Fuel Economy
interesting also that the combined on my window sticker is 19mpg but the EPA site lists it at 21mpg...
edit - just noticed the note about manual vs auto, the EPA site doesn't seem to differentiate so it might be looking at auto?

11,000 miles and 7 months into my manual GT, I don't know how you can get worse than 17 or 18 on a tank, ever...unless you're tracking the car or decide you really only like 3rd gear or something. My worst tank ever is 18.7 and most are between 20 and 21. Can't imagine the '13 doing any worse than that.

Thats about what I'm getting on my 2013 now, between 20 and 21. I assume once its broken in I will see slightly better mileage. This is 100% city driving too, it never gets to see the highway.
EDIT: It is a manual also.

With my 07 GT I got the advertised 26 mpg highway with 4.10's even though the car came with 3.31's. With my Boss, I've yet to get over 22MPG.
What RPMs are you shifting at and how low do you let the RPMs drop?
Depends, i dont always shift the same, but on a normal leisurely speed up from a light, i shift at 2.2k RPM and roll through all the gears on the way to 45. I don't always leisurely speed up though, lol.
I'm not sure what you mean by how low do i let the RPM's drop.
Sorry guys, but for anyone driving a 'new' new 2013 5.0, and to be anxious about possibly spending an extra $25 more per month in fuel, honestly bought the wrong car. Even the v6 mustang is only rated at 19mpg in the city, so let's all get a grip here...
I'm just wondering if you shift into 6th at 40 MPH. In my car with the 3.73's that'll drop the RPMs to about 1100 (from memory) or so.

.. I'm gonna say 18 city/28 hwy...
But it is more money out of my pocket, so I'd like to know what I'm paying for.
