2013 GT: Did they fix the speedometer font?

Look at this picture...

http://cdn3.automobilesreview.com/20...acelift-13.jpg

Is this what the speedometer and tach look like? Or is this a proto / photoshop?

I sure hope so...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the Boss cluster.

The GT should look like this:

So the font would be the same, only inverted like on the pre-2013 base model.

The first pic from the OP is the '13 Boss 302, 180mph speedo, Alcantara wheel, and 7500rpm red line on the tach... I too noticed the GT has the goofy BIG small BIG number increments on the speedo face, meh, not a fan of this style at all, just 'too busy'.

The Boss and GT500 just look cleaner to me.

not sure if they're interchangeable, because of the red line.. also the odometer memory is actually stored in the cluster, which can cause problems with insurance or when you sell the car in some states.. it has to be certified and can show up on your title as "altered" or "not actual mileage"

S/b able to have a dealer reflash it as "as built" IIRC so shouldnt be a problem & maybe dont tach over 7k.

Yes the dealer can set the new unit to match but once it's changed they report it..

Had to have mine changed on my '06 cause it was making noise. By the dealer & under warranty, and it still showed up on the car history report as a yellow flag in the Odometer Check section as being replaced. Which is no big deal because it's certified but i wouldn't want anything like that popping up on a carfax.. just doesn't look good and still scares ppl away

edit: then again i believe if you just buy one and install it yourself no one will know so should be ok

I am guessing that the cluster is going to rather expensive with the LCD screen on it now. anyone know a rough price?

Wow. I remember when we were all cutting up our new edge's needles trying to get white faced gauges in. I woulda paid top dollar had ford come out with the Bullitt/Mach 1 Vintage font cluster as an accessory.

The fact they went to the, IMO - cheaper looking 'base'/2005-09 green on black cluster alone makes me happy i got an '11.

the '05-'09 cluster is about $500. Rockauto.com sells remanufactured clusters, giving you $300 for your old cluster, and you pay $200 additional.

They don't list the price on the new one, but I guess we can assume it's more than $500.
