2013 Colt 305

Special Edition 2013 V6 Mustangs, 10 are being modded by our clubs dealership.. Calling then Colt 305's, all under $30, exhaust, tint, suspension, 3:31 gears stripes and all rebates so you can pick these up for around $25,500... Several colors to choose from also... Not too shabby!

Wow I am disappointed! I was hoping for a new version of a 1978 Dodge Colt!

My parents had one just like this. It was an awesome solid little car and it never broke down. I actually thought I would end up with it when I got my license but my parents traded it in later for a bigger car... A 1980 Dodge Diplomat. Anyway this Dodge Colt had one of the nicest dash and steering wheel designs of it's time.

Anyway I do not associate the name Colt with a Mustang at all. Just a small Dodge and Beer!

What is exactly added by the dealer? 3.31 gears and GT suspension are already included in the V6 Performance Package, which the car is based on. Looks like a bunch of stripes and badges.

This is a Performance package with Exhaust tips and stripes.. I can give my car a fancy name but does not set it apart from any other Performance package.

It has the PP and the exhaust is the Ford racing axle back for the car not just tips, They are just spicing things up and doing things that some do after they buy the cars. Keeping the costs down is priority and they already sold a few. I guess its what you think of it, you can go into a dealer and look at all the V6 Mustangs, all the same stuff on them or drive away with some of the after market goodies already applied. Just something different and kinda cool, the GHIG, with the black stripes makes the stock one look so plain...

or pay a premium for a car and in 2 or 3 years trade it in and you think you have a special mustang that is not worth **** and you just get v6 pricing for it.. The dealership I worked for did the same thing to "stimulate the market" and it's a selling dealership scheme scam.. Car is not a "special edition" If it wasn't produced directly from ford, Dealership models are as said Dealership models!!!

If you remeber the High Country Specials and 'Texas" and "California" where all dealer stuff to, they are not trying to scam anyone just what you said, stimulate the sales by adding some of the items that folks normally do. There is no Premium in these at all, just adding a little pizzaz.. I remember a dealership where I grew up in SW PA, Canonsburg callled, um Yeah Yenko Chevrolet. They did some special edition cars but hey, They are not worth anything today though... It is what the market will bear and I am in no way comparing these minor add ons to what Yenko did, but dealers do some cool things, sometimes...

There are still some good dealerships out there....

Big advantage to buyer with a package like this is that it's just tacked in the price of the car thus can be financed. Most people after buying a car can't swing cash for goodies so either they don't get them or they get out the plastic and have two separate payments and one of those has an astronomical interest rate. Great idea on the part of the dealer.

Kind of like our local dealer had a Top Gun Edition, but it brought the PP 2011 in at 32 or 33 K, not worth it and it sat for a while so a lot thought like me.

I believe the High Country and Californis Specials were dealer inspired but factory options....

Many dealers have done things to help sales.....many buyers have bought not realizing what they have......

Those Yenko Chevys go for a good price today too.....

LOL iMovie presents? Apple's getting into the Mustang performance conversion market now too?

I like it but I would cut out the lettering. Would rather have the blank space and a Ford racing axleback than a stock Premium V6.

That's how I built mine. I was given divine dispensation to spend $32k, so I started with a base V6, and added $12k worth of mods (so far, and I'm not done).

And since it was done by a dealer, there's no worry of any warranty issues with these mods. Another "plus" to some folks.

For those folks that have cheap labor costs (your own) and skills to do your own mods, you can side step this dealerships offering. For those that do not, this is a good option for them. I see nothing wrong with a dealership offering a special package of their own.

I'm old enough to remember a dealership doing this in the late 60's or very early 70's...The name Yenko ring a bell?
