2012 mustang GT, which mods?

So this is my 2012 mustang GT in candy red metallic tint. The only thing I have on there now is the pony valve stem caps on the tires. I bought them from American muscle. Also, I tinted it 35%. Next thing I want to do is lower the car but I'm afraid I'll scrape the under body. I want the ford racing lowering springs. I do not want to void warranty so I won't get an air intake and exhaust for now. So what would you recommend I get for a mod. that won't void warranty

If you def won't get a SCT tune, then I'd get the ford power pak w/ the pro-cal and k&n filter. I had that before I got my steeda goodies and it drastically improved throttle response and it even bypasses skip-shift. Great warranty-covered mod...

get axle back exhaust... they can't void your warranty on that.

Unless you slam it I doubt you will scrape anything below the car. You might scrape the front shield but that depends on how you enter/exit driveways.

in order to NOT void warranty, Do I have to have the dealer install it? or can I just go to any shop and have them do it.

The k&n filter drops right in the factory intake box and the pro cal just plugs in under the dash and does it's thing... You should be fine putting it in by yourself. No way that could void your warranty. That said, I'd buy the parts through your regular dealer so the paper trail leads back to them

No mods listed will improve your cars performance so I assume you aren't looking for performance mods. I would get an axleback exhaust that you like. It won't void a warranty unless they wanna be a d*ck. If you even Change wheels, they could say it affected your drivetrain. Basically , its mod or keep it stock if you're really worried about a warranty because they can say what they want when something breaks if your car is modded. Put a Steeda tune and cai on your car and you'll be glad that you did. Or just get their tune and you can return it to stock when you take it into the dealer.

Although I agree steeda is the best way to go... I disagree that a pro-cal is not a performance mod??? Def improved the performance on my car when I had it (specifically throttle response)... Certainly not an appearance mod... Anyways... As these guys said, an axle back is prob your best starter mod...

But remember that they can still see if you changed the tune via the car's computer, and there's nothing you can do to prevent them knowing that except not changing anything.

Springs improve performance in the non straight line only performance world. Springs was one of the best first mods I did.

A Cold Air Intake will in no way shape of form void your warranty. Throttle bodies won't either. Nor will a new exhaust system including new headers. However, if any of these require a new after market tune then technically it will. Most tuners however can bring you back to stock at anytime if you need to bring it in for service. Who ever is telling you a CAI voids warranty is lying to you. Good looking Stang man!

Steeda's site says that they recommend the Steeda tune after putting in their CAI. How necessary is the tune? Will there be much of a performance gain with just their CAI?

I thought Ford put in CAI with the 2011s plus anyway.

I suggest you pick up the FRPP Power Pack for the '11+

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=12345

As for springs, the 1" FRPP springs are a nice way to improve the stance and the ride of the car. I would recommend you also pick up shocks for the car, either the FRPP adjustable ones, or the FRPP static dampers. Be warned though, the static dampers can be a bit rough on normal roads.

Adjustable:

Static (non-adjustable):

You will also need the strut mounts:
http://www.buyfordracing.com/product...28PAIR%29.html

These should transform the car, and protect the warranty without going nuts. If you want to go a step further, a set of FR500C lower control arms will help eliminate any axle tramp you might suffer from.

See my previous post. You can, but I can tell you from experience that the suspension will be unsettled compared to a complete setup with shocks and struts to go with your springs.
