Exclamation 2012 GT Prem on local lot

My local Ford dealership has a 2012 GT Prem.

I really do not want to buy one off a lot but if it will save me lots of $ I may be willing. I was curious to how cheap you guys think I could take it for..

Off the lot is still a brand new car. I still am wondering why you think otherwise?

I do understand that. I meant that if I was going to spend $$$$ I do not want anyone touching it but me. When my dad orders a car he gets the dealer to call him and he meets the truck up there. Then he drives it home with the plastic still on it. That is BRAND NEW to me. A 12 on the lot is just new. It could have surface scratches, people have sat in it. It maybe test driven, etc etc. Doesn't sound as new as one coming fresh off the truck.

Yet again I have no problem buying a 12 of the lot if I can get it at the right price.

As far as in the mind of the Dealer the car is brand new! I don't think you are going to get any real price breaks that different unless your really good at convincing them otherwise. I to thought about buying off the lot but the color and features of what the local dealers had did not match what I wanted. So I only had the option to order.

I would say you could get both of those under 30k. I bought my 2012 GT/CS off the showroom floor two months ago for 31,500. It stickered for 39,210.

Thank you!

I wonder if I should go for right at 30 or under 30 for either of those or if I should just get a 13' GT base

There is a $3K incentive on 2012's right now.

I got my V6 3 months ago, before the new incentive, for $4295 off of sticker, that is way below invoice.

Deals are out there, you just have to find them.

if you're getting a manual then either year is good, if auto then def go for a '13, the automatic sport-mode alone is worth it
besides leather wheel w/ audio controls & hid's are standard on base now

There's a guy on here that got his base GT manual for $24,xxx. That's the lowest I've ever heard. I've seen a couple base manuals go for $25k.

Yea, I've seen guys get brembo, premium GT's for 33,500.

You should be able to get that one under invoice. Some dealers are delusional and think they can still get near MSRP for them, but most want to get rid of the 12s. I got my new loaded demo with a few thousand miles on it for $30800. It stickered at almost 41k.

Invoice on that car is 33325 - 3k rebate, so 30325 according to Edmunds. If you have the brochure, that's another 750 off. I bet you could get that car for 29k or so, maybe less if they're really motivated.

^ this, if the car is still there then most likely a delusional dealer. I looked at a '12 premium before i ordered mine, the dealer was crazy, acted like he was doing me a huge favor "letting" me use x-plan & tried to low-ball me on the trade-in.. this was 6 months ago, drove by last week and it's still there!
Other dealer gave me $2k more on trade-in and ended up getting a '13 for about $6k less then the '12 that's still sitting there collecting dust

Hm that sounds like an awesome deal!

How do I go about the x-plan?
