2012 GT
Hey guys I posted last week talking about getting a 2013 GT Prem. Well I really want to save some $. I was wondering if I could still order a 2012 model and if I could save A LOT of $ or just some. And I wanted more opinions on the matter.
I herd some people got it 4k under invoice...

I think, and I could be wrong but if you want a 12 it would have to come off the lot.
I paid more for the 13 and I'm a cheap bastard but I just liked all the upgrades the 13 had and felt it was worth it.

Alrighty so no ordering the 12 new. Well I guess that narrows it down. Because our lot here has only 12 V6. And I really do not want to buy a car off a lot if it is going to be 'NEW'

That's we're your best deal is a new car on the lot and being a 12 they will want to move it fast also try Auto Trader and search for new inventory by distance, that's how I found my 12.

You can go on the Ford website and build a '12 with the options you want and then let it find you a match on the lot at a dealer. Depending on the options you select it might find exactly what you want or something very similar.

Yeah, but as you said, you can save a lot of money buying a new "non-current" model off the lot. The rebates are bigger and dealers are much more willing to deal to get them off the lot.

On Fords site you can search cars that dealers have in stock. If you can find one that fits what you want you can usually get a price break and save on the factory wait.. Some have waited over 10 weeks. This is on a 2013, however you can do the same for a 2012 where they will be at the dealer (NEW). I would have opted to but from the lot new but no one had what I wanted with the features I wanted hence I ordered from the factory.

That was similar to my situation. I like the new 13's, but what I wanted above anything else was a 5.0. So it was either a 13 v6 performance package, or a left over 12 5.0 base auto. I was lucky that one of my local dealers had 3 base auto 5.0's to choose from, so I was pretty lucky. I had a choice between red(not the race one), white, and silver. I opted for the white one because I ve never been a fan of silver on cars and my previous 04' was that same dark red. I have had it about 5 weeks now and couldnt be happier .

You should be able to get a base 5.0 around 25/26K before ttl, and about 30K before ttl of a premium.
