New here but not new to Mustangs...

Question: Which rear axle will the 2011 V6 cars have?

8.8 ???

I have read as much as I can find with no mention of the rear axle.

 

It's suppose to.

 

Well, with the power the new 3.7 will make they had better. Poor old 7.5 wouldn't last long behind one.

 

this was discussed in some previous thread, don't remember which one you might try some searches, but I believe the conclusion was that it will have the 8.8

 

I figured that it must be coming out with the 8.8 because it has the 3.31 gear option and I have not seen a 3.31 gear listed for the 7.5 rear. No Ford Racing gear or any aftermarket in that ratio.

Plus it makes building the cars simpler, more commonality of parts.

It would be great if Ford would go ahead and offer the 3.55 and 3.73 gears as V6 options too.

It would be great if you could pick and choose the options you want like it was way back when instead of having to go with "Option Packages".

 

I've seen a 2011 V6 tilted on its side at an auto show. It's an 8.8.
