This is from Late Model Restoration, they RENTED a 2011 V6 Mustang and then put a tune and a CAI and a magnaflow comp axle-back (muffler delete) on it and swapped on some race tires and wheels and ran the dog out of it at Texas World Speedway on one of the road courses. Topped 130 on the front straight and surprised a few V8 cars out there. And of course since it is a rental car it has an automatic transmission.

Nice video. Not bad for a 'little girl V-6'. The V-6 Mustang is 'for real' (with a tune).

 

I think they would have done pretty well with it even without a tune. I think the best thing the tune did was raise the speed limiter.

 

It would seem the days of the rent-a-racer have returned. Bravo!
