I'll summarize for you. Everyone likes the ride quality. Everyone thinks the exhaust is too quiet. Everyone agrees the 2010+ interior ***** on the 05-09. Everyone likes the power, some feel it could use some more torque down low (get a tune). There that's pretty much it for your questions, as everyone has said the same things and no one has had their cars for more than a couple weeks.

Its crazy but i see the average person cares more about looks than performance. When i tell people im trading in my 08 for the '11 they think im off my rockers. They think the car is beautiful and tell me am i crazy trading it in for that ugly body style. Most think the interior is much cooler than the '11. Many feel the '11 has gone away from the muscle car roots and has crossed the line into a classy european sports car classification and the 05-09 even though with the weaker power plant is more muscle than hustle. I see more muscle car enthusiests leaning towards the Camaro because of its retro muscle car power plants.

Man that says it all!
These 10/11 threads by those that have to have the latest model, and then want to trash the S197 for the S197-D(iaper) have forgotten how striking the 05-09 are. They ignore how stupid and Camaro/Japa/Euro that horrendous 10/11 Diaper actually looks - to the general buying public - and many, many Mustang enthusiasts.
I love the engineering behind the 5.0/6spd, but I'd never touch one with that dumass Diaper.

Using your line of thinking that more people car about looks than performance (I couldn't agree with you more), then there are some people out there who like the new body style, judging by the 11,000+ pre-orders in the first month!

I took a 5.0 6 speed manual for a ride and a V6 auto. I gotta say the 5.0 pulls very hard in every gear even in 3rd with roads barely wet from a quick showers earlier, it would break em loose in third and you would let up... I didnt check gear ration.. The V6 just didnt seem that great after driving the 5.0 and the auto eas a V6 auto,,.......
Oh the clutch on the 5.0 was effortless, I couldn't believe has light the pressure was compared to my brother stock 07 GT/CS
I do agree on the circlur vents on 05-08 I like them better but they rattle
Im 43

I've had the complete opposite experience. Most all of my friends (in the 25-32 yr old age group) keep asking me when I'm going to trade my car in for one of the new "badass" Mustangs, referring to the 2010+.

I think you hit the nail on the head awhile ago when you said that, by going more "European" with the 2010's design, Ford is targeting a younger crowd. I personally don't see anything wrong with that; diversification of the demographic usually means more sales of future models. I'm just glad the Mustang exists, and is getting better and better every year (the fact that it's mentioned in the same breath as the heralded BMW M3 is exciting). If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's as easy as that. I have a feeling you're going to be in love as soon as you receive your 2011, though.
