I'm with you laser. I plan on going with a simple 4300k kit as well. The HIDs aren't too bad, but I'm not paying $600 for an option I'm not completely satisfied with

They look like a newer version of alcoa rims off the GT500KR.

The Z06 owners still complain about not having enough traction. I'd like to see how the chassis dynamics on the '11 GT pan out because 412 hp on a 3400-3600 lb chassis is pretty **** wicked. The GT500KR demonstrated its ability to handle even worse than the GT500 for MY2010 - too much power without any improvements in the chassis.

Z06 works fine with stock size tires but in a real tire, not the horrid F1 runflats.

The problem with the Z06 is it has Good Year run flats. The OEM Good Year Super Car tires do not provide the greatest traction. If they were the Pilot Sport 2s like on the ZR1 they'd hook better.

I'd love to see legit track times between the Z06 and ZR1 if they had the same rolling stock, run on the same day, with the same drivers.

Anyways back to the GT, traction is going to be a problem.....

Yup, buddy put 325 PS2 on rear, hooked awesome.

Goodyear F1 "Supercar" are the worst tires I have ever had on a car. Lets hope the GT doesn't ship with them.

It seems Goodyear can't make any decent tires. I haven't found a single Goodyear that is worth buying except for the TripleTreds and even they have quite a few quality issues.

Michelin is where it's at. Cup for track, PS2 for street performance, A/S Plus if you want a decent performing yet long lasting A/S tire.

Only bad thing, of course, is cost. Rears for my GT500 were $450 each.

Michelin also seems to understand that cars are shipping with 19" rims now. Can't say the same for other manufacturers.

Ugg, I think I will pass on this as well. That is just too much. As much as I would love to have factory hids its not worth that much to me. The stock headlights are just one mark short of being pitiful on the Sn95 and S197 imo. We put some Hid's on the S197 and while its not ideal and as good as something from the factory it was a MAJOR improvement.

I agree absolutely. Whilst I'd appreciate the better lighting the Mustang HIDs provide, the design is lacklustre in my opinion. To rock my Mustang world, Ford should take a leaf out of the Camaro headlight design and give is a halo/HID combo that looks mean as Hell

Just to give credit where credit is due; I believe that BMW was the first to use the halo in the headlamp design and has been doing so for many years.

Yep, the E39 was first....and BMW do design some cool headlights. I only referrenced the Camaro as its design would suit the Mustang perfectly
