2011 Mustang GT prototype video screaming around track
My best friend was at this event. It was actually a Ford GT event, and one of Fords top drivers brought the 2011 Mustang GT to show it off. My friend actually got some passenger seat time in the car, but nobody was allowed to drive it. The paint job is actually spray paint, the Ford driver told my friend he spent $60 on the paint job. The event took place at Spring Mountain, about an hour away from Vegas. As for the GTR, that is actually owned by my friend and his business partner. They own a dealership at Spring Mountain called Switchcars. I have some more pics of the cars at this event, and will post them as soon as I get them onto my computer.

And I want a 4 pg report on your friend's opinion from his ride!
....or you could just post some pics at your earliest conveniance
My guess is that the trans or diff are venting from running at elevated temperatures.
When GM was testing the old R7U/1LE Camaros, they tried reducing the amount of oil in the transmissions because of the venting problem.

Interesting pics. First engine shot I've seen where I can see what appears to be a couple of coolant lines that run front to back over the engine. Now I understand why the engine cover is a little bulky. Also notice that the air tube from the filter to the engine is different (note where the sound tube joins it). Looks like it might be an early cast manifold too, but I can't tell that for sure.
