Was the 2011 hold-up due to Manual Tranny?
Seems like all of the 2011's shipping or on the lots are Automatics .... Galpin shows 40 Mustangs ... 39 Automatic and 1 Manual tranny V6 ...

Ford uses artificial intelligence to determine who is whining the most and calling in the most frequently to add extra time to the manufacturing process directly proportional to the whining.
I read about it on the Internet.

I don't know how true it is, but when I contacted Ford this morning about my order... I asked the guy on the phone about the hold up and he said the shut down last week was because of the Volcano and the hold on the 2011's were due to shipping issues, there was nothing wrong with the cars!

Volcano and Pirellis was the reason I was given for the shutdown. At any rate latest update says my car should be rolling off the line this afternoon and the 5/08 Arrival is still holding (so far). Im almost sure the Pirellis are made in Noth America so unless certain tire components are imported from Europe?
I asked the same question of my dealer on the trans and was told that he was told the automatics were actually in shorter supply. Again cant vouche for the accuracy.

Stinger and eci, go to r your respective corners and wait for the bell. Recess will start soon.
Seriously, guys, you both make good points but eci has a tendency to "relive" the past and treat things a little too literally. I find it funny, not offensive. Stinger, I think you might be a little too sensitive but you always have good info. Be a duck, let it roll off. . .
I don't think calling someone a ***** does much more than fuel the fire.

you bring up a valid point.
Any way, on a constructive note.
there is no hold for manual trans. However they are being released slower due to the need for sign off.

Another fun one to have to verify would be if the wrong transmissions were put in. Aren't the V6 and GT manuals identical other than the gear ratios?
