2011 GT vs 2010 GT500?

2011 GT500, so worth it. the 2011 laps VIR 9 seconds faster than the 2010 (faster than the non-ACR Viper or the Audi R8 V10!) with more time left to shave, watch the video below. Lighter, faster, gets better mileage.

Here is the only review I have seen of the 2011 GT500, why are there not any real, instrumented tests yet? Car and Driver or something?

I'd be curious to see how a non-SVT pkg 2011 GT500 compares to the 2010 GT500. I'd be willing to bet the gap might only be a couple of seconds. They really need to run the 2 cars on the same day to get an accurate comparison.Plus I've seen the same car run completely different times on the same track with different drivers. Too many variables in this 9 second claim.

I believe it also received some suspension upgrades courtesy of the SVT, which should help with its turning, which I believe was the biggest complaint on the 2010 GT500 from last year's Lightning Lap. Also, the weight came mostly off the front, so balance should have also been improved. I do agree though, 9 seconds is a lot for only one model year.

If I was out looking, I would truly take a GT500 2010 over a 11 GT. I mean we are talking a GT500 !
The new 5.0 are wonderful machines for sure, but yeah...a GT500 is still king. Upgraded interior, the 5.4 S/C engine, and all the other things that it comes with. My dealer has a black /w grey stripes on the lot now. Truly if my Wolf was still stock, I would consider it.

I plan on making the switch when the 2010 wheels become more widely available.

Sat in a Kona Blue Stripe Delete 2010 GT500 tonight. Yeah that would be a pretty easy decision for me. GT500 all the way. You will always have more potential with the 500 if you want to mod it, and if you want to stay stock, it's a GT500, not "just" a GT - you'll always get your money out of it.
Having said that, I am shocked at the prices people are asking for 2007 GTs still. These newer ones seem to keeping their value rather well. Maybe it's because new GTs nicely equipped are friggin' $35k.
