Just in case you missed it- it looks like the 2011 GT will have a metal "cue ball style" shift ****. I wonder how comfortable that will be on a hot Atlanta summer day. I like the look of it, though.

 

I would imagine that Ford will offer different shift ***** based on the interior appointments, just like they do with the 2010 Mustang.

Is it? All of the GT Premiums on my dealer's lot have the leather / chrome shift ****. What option package does it come with?

 

It's part of the 401A interior package.

I had a billet **** in my 06 here in central Florida until I installed the HURST. Summer was not a Problem. But When it got cold I had to where Gloves. It is like holding onto an Ice cube

 

It'll be just as comfortable as my Bullitt **** is in the hot TX summers... When shifting gears, you adapt, and you learn what it means to slap the shifter into gear with the palm of your hand vs fondling it into gear.

Also, invest in the windshield sun screens.

 

My son had the metal **** on his '07 GT. Too hot in the summer and Toooo cold in the winter. He got a colored plastic one from Grabberpony. Now it's just right.
