What do you guys think? The 427R is better in terms of HP(435 vs 412) and torque but are the added upgrades on the 2011 enough to beat the Roush?

 

I've seen the 427R's and Stage 3's at our local dragstrips. Most seem to run the 1/4 mile in the high 12's @ 108 mph on average (bone stock). I've been predicting that the 2011 Mustang GT with automatic trans will run that, as well, while the 2011 Mustang GT with manual trans should run mid 12's @ 110 based on power & weight calculations I've done. So, I'd give a slight edge at the drags to the '11 GT Manual. Of course, that's just bench racing until we actuallly start seeing 'em line up for real.

 

How about speed to dollar value?
The 2011 Mustang GT wins every time.

 

We'll see what Roush does with the 2011, should be pretty interetsing.

 

I think there's a real chance. Even Mr. Roush mentioned similar performance to the less poweful Roushcharged cars.
