2011 3.7 vs 2011 5.0 georgia grudge match both cars run 13s click to see who WINS!

So nealatthewheel and I cruised on down to steele bama otherwise known as little dega to run our 2011 stangs.
We ran a total of 8 passes down the good ole 1320. This was our first time running our cars since we got them.
His is a 11 5.0 w/corsas&3.73 gears otherwise stock, mine has 2.73 gears, jlt cai, dual pypes m80s mid mounted i'm running 93 like him. I've also got some super sticky yoko advans in a nice 275 width out back.
Anyways first pass after both driving over 137 miles nonstop to this track for me a 14.220@99.11mph 60ft of 2.294
tires at normal 35psi, shifting around 5500rpm launching at 3k or so.
Him not sure the launching rpm, I know he was shifting right at redline. Anyways he ran a stout 13.259@112.06mph cutting a 2.218-60ft. A couple more runs and I ripped off a 13.895@102.05 cut a 2.205-60ft, tire pressure lowered to 28psi, launching at 3k or so, again shifting closer to 6k crossed the line right at 5900rpm in 3'rd*gotta love those 2.73s* This was about an hr after our first two passes and we left our cars with the hoods up to cool them off a bit and of course we lowered our air pressure to 28psi as well before that run.
Well then we let em cool off after 3 total back-back runs for about 45mins and lowered the air pressure down to 25psi. Oh yeah all runs for me we're traction control on&don't laugh at my totally weak burnouts
Anyways back on track literally lol did a decent burn out staged pretty well cut a 2.074-60ft on my way to a 13.717@101.52mph this time shifting at 6K or a little over&still not hitting the rev limiter. Again crossing the finish line in 3'rd right at 6Krpm.
So pull around the wife hops in so ad 99lbs of weight. Weak *** burnout but cut my best 60ft of the day 2.055 en route to a back-back 13sec pass this time a 13.714@102.24mph.
Hot lapped it again and run a respectable 13.889@100.01mph, weak *** 2.165-60ft.
That did it for the day Oh yeah that 5.0 managed a stout 13.039@110.74 cutting a 2.068-60ft.
My first ever quarter mile past against a tree

This run my wife was in the car and if you look was a hot lap aswell as I ran a 13.7, 13.7&13.8 all within 30 minutes of each other

These are a couple of runs at atlanta dragway in commerce at their friday night street legal drags disappointed I didn't improve my ets allwell

Makes me wonder how well the V6 wil lactually perform with the 3.31s. I know I made a mistake by ordering my car with 2.73s because I do not save a lot of fuel because I am always in 5th gear on the highway. Until 80MPH you never need to put the car in 6th gear.

I love my 3.31 gear. At 60 m.p.h. it is still only doing around 1735 r.p.m. I watched a video on youtube of a guy somewhere in Europe (2011 V-6) doing 158 m.p.h. with 3.31 rear gears.

Awesome write up...and fantastic runs from that V6!!

I love that this car is a serious hotrod and I think I might have been almost as happy with the V6er as I am with the GT.

Didn't want to start a new thread so here's another couple vids of my runs last night at atlanta dragway in commerce during friday night street legal drags. Fun but I was really hoping to do better which I didn't surprisingly my first run after tech&lining up was my best a 13.93@101.3mph 2.1 60 ft. This time I was launching at 3500 rpm with the rear tires at 20psi.
