2011 3.7 mustang cranks like it wants to start but doesnt
i got a 2011 mustang it came in ticking and knocking at the top of engine. i broke it down to the camshafts and lifter caps but there was no damage, the timing chain was loose and the car was losing oil pressure when i was idle. i bought a new oil pump, timing chain kit with crankshaft sprocket, all 4 camshaft sensors, and crankshaft sensor, vvt solenoids, crankshaft pulley, iridium spark plugs, and coils, oil pressure switch, air filter and throttle body, i have the official blueprints to the car down to the bolts and part numbers for everything. i know nothing was put on wrong, im getting fuel spark and compression, i can blow a shop rag out of the cylinder soo no problem there. i gets up to like 500rpm but doesnt want to turn on.and before i closed everything i turned the engine just so i know everything was smooth in the engine. and all of the timing marks matched up like the blueprints said they would.

Did you check the cam phasers? If not, they are well known for causing engine ticking, depending on mileage... Meanwhile, welcome aboard!
