2011/12 Mustang GT - Limited Slip is stock?

So I did a bit of googling and I couldn't get an exact answer...

Does the 2011 and 12 mustang gt have limited slip (with stock 3.31) ?

My sticker didn't state it so I assume it doesn't.. because those with 3.55 and 3.73 gearing from the factory.. have it stated on the sticker specifically next to the ratio value.

I have the ford racing lsd on order from american muscle along with my 3.73 install kit/gears..and was just going to have them installed at the same time..

(yes I know i could walk outside and do a burnout and see... but its 9am in the morning).

thanks in advance

Post Yes

All GTs have had LS for many years.
Now even the 3.7L V6 comes with it.

You bought a Ford Racing T-Lok, right? http://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-3...arbondisc.html

That's already what's in your car.

Every Mustang GT since 1986 when the 8.8 was first used has had a limited slip (Traction Lok) differential in it.

The sad thing is that even knowing what car you had that they sold you a Traction Lok differential even though they should have known the car came with one.

Had they asked it would have saved you a PITA of having to send it back.

If you are interested in anything else on our website and it is greater than or equal to in value as the T-LOK, buy it when you call in to set up the RMA for the diff and we can send you a return tag so that you don't need to pay to ship it back!

Oh thanks Chris, I setup the return this morning and it's on the way back already. I will make note of that for any future situations though. As usual it's a pleasure doing business with you guys.

I think all Fox body Mustang GT models from '79 to '85 had Limited Slip Diffs as well, but in the smaller 7.5" rear end.

Not factory stock on the early ones and optional on later (1981 & up).
Even the 1980 Cobra pkg. didn't have LS rear end.
