2010 Should Have Some of These options on 09 MKZ
The New 2009 Lincoln MKZ Order Guide Should Shed a Little Light on Some Features we may see on the 10 Mustang. I am thinking as Far as Electrical Features and the V6.
Enjoy!

I don't want and AWD Mustang, and I dont want it chock full of technobabble either. The Mustang has never tried to live on those types of things before and I don't think it should now. Don't rape the Mustang of its essence and feel I say......I guess I am too old school, thats prob not a real good thing either nowadays........
Price... Price... Price...
In my opinion the Mustang is exactly where it needs to be. People moan that the Mustang is underspecified, cheap interior, live rear-axle, etc, etc...
But that's the way it needs to stay, to continue it's mantle as best bang for buck car anywhere. I LIKE the live rear-axle, it's cheap and bullet proof. I want a car that's cheap to buy, easy to modify and fast. The Mustang is all those things...
I don't want it to reach the proposed pricing of the Camaro or the Challenger. An affordable 2011 5.0 litre 400 bhp GT is perfect in my opinion. Ford, bring it on!

I think AWD and paddle shifters should be on the next "R" model or maybe a top dog GT500 as options. Most of the elite car companies like BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari and Lamborghini offer them and I think Ford should show how they can run with the big boys since we no longer have a Ford GT.

Some folks are stuck in the past and this is why Ford has lost its market share. The competition is becoming more sophisticated and Ford needs to keep up. Hyundai has a new RWD coupe coming out for under 30K with a 310hp V6, 6 speed manual, Brembo brakes, and a really nice interior. The Camaro will also be a bit more upscale. Use the Pontiac G8 as a reference. Ford can’t sit still for 2010 or they will lose market share. There are solid competitors in the marketplace that weren’t there in 2005. Ford no longer has a monopoly.
Ford has proven data that Mustang owners will pay a little more money for features, content, and performance.

Ford went to Packages as a Cost Cutting Measure and a way to Simplify Orders. I understand their Thinking but Judging How Much People Retrofit and Mod their Stangs I think a Return to The Long Option List would be welcomed by the INFORMED Mustangers! It would Allow Some Truly Unique and Individualized Stangs out there!

I love my creature comforts. I would most surely pay a little extra to have the option. Not standard, so that way those whole like the simplicity can have their cake too.
No thanks, Mustangs shouldn't try to emulate a Nissan GT-R and lose focus by trying to be just like Subaru, Mitsubishi, and Nissan.
Its an affordable 2+2 rwd sporty car (well for as long as it can remain affordable), Ford I think would be better served by developing something more focused and offering higher levels of performance (say a fully loaded car weighing in at 3000 pounds and featuring 400+ hp with a sophisitcated all alumunum world class suspension with seating for only 2)

It's the small things Ford doesn't think of. I'm glad they finally put SYNC into the Mustang. I was very surprised when it came it and wasn't offered initially in the Mustang. We've had heated seats for a couple of years now, so cooled seats shouldn't be too far behind now. Ford is finally starting to realize that comfort matters. The S197 is a butt load more comfortable to ride in that the SN95, and I believe it'll just continue to get better in '10.
I agree with many of the above comments but I also feel they should put more focus on the base model. Though I must admit I will probably never buy a base model, it is the bread winner for Ford. I think a more pleasing base model compaired to the current one will help generate more overall sales. I'm thinking offering the same power and refinement as the current Honda Accord, Nissan Altima coupes. Many people buy a Mustang for power but a lot of others want a good looking car with decent pep and options without having to get a gas guzzler V8! I say maybe even offer a turbo 4 model in the Mustang lineup and trim some unneeded weight on the front end.
