Can you get the shaker 1000 and the navigation together?

Nope, it seems like Ford has yet to figure out how to get the subs to work with the NAV system. lol

The price on the new stang has increased a lot. A stang with all my options came out to about 37600. That is for a coupe with nav, hid, 19" wheel, 3.73, safty pack, comfort group and camera.

Imagine if some were to get those same options, but with auto trans, glass roof. The price could very well be 40,000+ for a coupe. If you went with a convertable it would be well beyond 40,000. That is even without the exterior appearance packages that they have out there.

The base price of the mustang is 28,000 while the premium is 31,000. That's a $3000 price difference. Most will say they will go with the base model, but think about it. The base model's interior will be hard plastic and look like crap. Therefore everyone is going to get the premium model.

I think the new mustang's price puts it well into the territory of the G37, 370Z price range. The mustang was once thought to be a bargain for its price and performance, but now it is like the rest of the crowd. By offering all these options, people are likely going to add them and then find out the hefty price tag. I think it was smart of FORD to have very little option of the 05-09 mustang. Even thought the interior was hard like crap. They kept the price down because people were not able to choose a lot of options. This was where the aftermarket comes in.

Or you could just buy it without all the options. That is where the aftermarket comes in! I agree though, the price of a new Stang doesn't make it a performance bargin anymore.

Where did you read that the interior materials will be different? Or am I stupid for assuming the new interior upgrades would be applied across the board?

Either way, I'm just thankful that I have no interest in most of that optional crap.

I would imagine that Ford is saving the GT500 for the Detroit show, but I could be wrong.

They won't reveal that motor till the end of the 2010 model year. You really think they will tell the world, about the 5.0, before the new car goes on sale. That would basically KILL the sales for the 2010 model year, as everyone would wait.

With hopefully the 5.0L V8 option on the GT for New York or Chicago.

35 for a mustang GT is way overpriced. I don't feel bad paying 24997 for my fully loaded 05

Looking back I picked up my 2005 GT Premium with everything but auto and shaker 1000 for $26500 out the door. I think Ford is going to find that they are getting a little too pricey and lose some of the market. I know my salary hasn't gone up that much over the last few years to cover the difference.

It's going to be about 15 grand difference in a fully loaded 09 to the fully loaded 10. The employee pricing and 0% they offered me at the dealership on monday sounds like it'll be the way to go. Guess dual climate control and all the upgraded goodies will have to wait.

That is a no brainer there. Pull the trigger on the 09!

Excluding the glass roof, track pack, 19" bright wheels, and rear video camera, a fully loaded Premium GT will run you over $38K (MSRP). With tax, tags, etc, that's over $40K. Ford just priced themselves out of their target demographic. Geniuses!

Mr. Mullally, we have some lovely parting gifts for you, please exit through the bankruptcy door.

Yup, I will most likely be keeping my 07, and throwing a blower on it....I guess this pricing was the decided factor for me....too rich for my blood

Then more than likely the 5.0/6spd will add more to the price. Ford listened to the people and gave everyone what they wanted. One problem they will have to pay for it.
