Nice build! $300 extra for the Candy Red paint. I guess that tinted clear costs some money!

Man, I can't believe how expensive this car is getting to be. By the time we're able to buy another one (once ours is paid off), the base price on a GT is going to be $40k!

Chances are once the 2011 5.0 come out prices between the SS, R/T and GT will all be about the same. So it will come down to what one looks best to you. I heard that the R/T is supposed to get a bump up to 390/400 HP next year and the SRT close to 500.

I just did a comparison and it's running about $2500 more than a 2008.

But... for that extra money you now get standard options such as Sirius, Ambient Lighting, Sync, Sequentials, Strut bar, Lighted Door Sills, higher quality interior materials, and stability control.

Not to mention a better nav with voice control and climate control for $200 more than the '08 price.

So yeah, it's a bit higher but you're also getting a little something for your money.

Wow, with peoples income shrinking. The price of the Mustang is going up, up, up! I realize you are getting "more" for your money but honestly a lot of this stuff should have been included on the 05-09 Stang at the previous price.

You did get a ton of options though. I think mine stickered for $34,000, but it only has 3.55s, Sirius, GT appearance package, and IUP.

I've never ordered a vehicle. I just buy whatever is left over at the end of the model year that fits my needs the best. I got my '07 in March 2008. There was a $3,000 rebate nd dealer markdowns so in the end, she was $27,500. But if you know exactly what you want and what you don't, ordering is the best way to go!

It makes you wonder what the 11 will cost once the 5.0/6 speed combo comes out. If they improve suspension and brakes we could see another increase. Can we see the GT start at 32K?

Yes, I'm concerned about that too! Ford could price so high, that people won't buy it!

But in 2011 it may be the last Mustang we will ever own perhaps.
